Vice President / Controller
Mary Tran brings over a decade of accounting experience to her position as Controller for LJP Construction Services. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounting Department, including maintaining the company’s financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, and various special analyses.
Prior to her position here at LJP, Ms. Tran was employed with a major staffing agency, where she was responsible for managing both the accounting and payroll departments. In this position, Ms. Tran established new payroll procedures in order to improve productivity, maintained compliance with government regulations, worked with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits, and provided monthly reports for company officers to guide financial decisions. Ms. Tran has also worked for a San Jose-area business accounting firm, where she was responsible for preparing Profit & Loss statements, handling accounts payable and receivable, maintaining payroll compliance, preparing reports, and issue resolution.
Ms. Tran received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting from San Jose State University.
